Welcome to a place to discover The Sun’s Path offerings and Altan Tepe our nest in the valley near Alpedrinha, Portugal. Our works restore the connection between land, art and divinity; together we tune into the elements, and awaken our collective consciousness.
The offerings are the vision of Isik Sayarer & Craig Bamford as a space for collaboration.
For the past 20 years, Isik and Craig have worked together weaving their learnings into practices that combine art, architecture, craft, land work, performance and meditation. Their journey has taking them to explore sacred places and spiritual processes around the world, weaving a story of belonging and expansion with the land and cosmos. With The Sun’s Path and Altan Tepe, Isik and Craig seek to create a new means of sharing this ongoing journey, connecting others with built spaces, objects, artworks and experiences. All who visit the nest in Portugal, or who collaborate and encounter its teachings off-site and further afield, are invited to experience the healing of a different quality of time. A sense of time that connects us with our inner nature. To tend to the land and self, allowing it to enrich us from within, teaching us about the vastness of time and creativity as we awaken to possibility.

Isik Sayarer is an artistic healer whose work spans poetry, movement, storytelling and somatic practice. She has an intuitive and embodied way of working and teaching drawing on an innate connection with energy and symbols, land and sky, objects and ceremony. Isik gives space and form to emergent ideas, helping people and lands on a healing journey move towards wholeness. Her approach to her work is shaped by her Turkish and English origins, her studies in Environmental Science and Art, and 20 years’ experience working with healing practices, land, movement and meditation. Through The Sun’s Path Offerings she seeks to share this way of being with others, both on the land in Portugal and further afield.

Craig Bamford is an artist, architect, designer and master craftsman. He was raised in Kenya, where the influence of the wild landscape and a focus on the handmade informed his founding philosophy, drawing him to pursue metalwork, carpentry and architecture through SASA Works. Craig’s artistic vision draws on these disciplines to explore the poetics of space, with an emphasis on natural building and making, combined with drawing, painting and meditation, all of which manifests on the land at Altan Tepe. He has a profound interest in non-dualism, Sufism and yogic philosophy.
